Our Mission
As a cooperative preschool, we strive to provide a positive, nurturing and safe environment where each child is free to explore and learn to his/her greatest potential. We believe that it is crucial for our children to have opportunities to learn, problem solve, develop self-control, and respect others. Our emphasis on parental involvement fosters a strong sense of community for the families at the co-op. The role of the adults in the classroom is to provide a developmentally appropriate classroom, and to model and reinforce respectful pro-social behaviors. Redirection and guidance will be conducted in a spirit of kindness that upholds the dignity and self-esteem of the children while ensuring that limits are clearly and consistently maintained.
