| Because we strongly believe in the benefits
of a play-based curriculum for young children, each day a
great deal of thought is put into the arrangement of the preschool
environment. The goal is to provide an environment that encourages
children to learn specific skills through different kinds
of play. Socially, the child grows as she/he plays with others
in a semi-structured environment. She/he will learn independence,
how to share, as well as crucial cooperation skills. Academically,
we offer an intellectually rich environment which encourages
creative thinking and self-motivation. Additionally, the child
is encouraged to develop at her/his own pace and learns self-discipline.
The Co-op also helps the child develop positive self-esteem
through his/her interactions with other children, parents,
and the teacher. |
